Do I need a permit to remove a dying oak tree?

Oak trees are considered protected heritage trees, and, generally speaking, you will need a permit to remove an oak tree, even a diseased one. Keep in mind that every county or city has its own regulations about whether or not you need a permit to cut down a tree on your property. In most cases, we can help you with the permit process.

Can you tell me what disease my tree has and how to save it?

We can tell you if your tree is diseased and recommend pruning or removal. If you are required to get a permit to remove the tree, your local codes might require a diagnosis from a certified arborist. Is mistletoe poisonous?
